Our entry-level PADI Freediving courses are designed for complete beginners, snorkelers and wild swimmers who want a relaxed, safety-first glimpse into the world of freediving.
PADI Basic Freediver Certification - 2 evening sessions
Pre-requisites: Ability to swim 200m
Minimum age: 12
Location: Classroom and pool
Keen to learn more about freediving but not sure it's for you? Join us for an overview of the key principles, basic techniques and safety protocols before we hop in the pool and try out the kit and skills in a safe, controlled environment. Aimed at complete beginners, we’ll take you through the essentials and show you some of the key skills required to safely and efficiently freedive within confined waters.
Skills covered will include correct breathing techniques, rescue procedures, Dynamic and Static apnea techniques.
On registration, students will gain access to PADI Freediver Touch to begin your knowledge development before we meet for the two evening sessions:
Wednesday evening:

Pool session - Static apnea, Dynamic Freediving and rescue protocols
Certification Criteria
Students must be able to swim 200m unaided (or 300m using mask, fins and snorkel), complete a static apnea attempt of at least 90 seconds and one dynamic apnea of at least 25 metres.
Once certified, PADI Basic Freedivers can upgrade to the higher-level PADI Freediver certification by completing the additional open water sessions.
